The same rings true for the Hawaiian island of Maui. This location is a romantic hot spot for all of the couples who step foot on the island. The following paragraphs will highlight some wonderful attractions and activities for visiting couples to take part in while vacationing in Maui.

Waterfall Hikes

Maui is home to some of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world. Centered amongst tropical rainforests, taking a hike to one of these fabulous natural settings exudes romance to the fullest extent. As many of the hiking tour companies keep their tour groups to a minimum amount of people, the couple engaging in the hike can still keep some of that romantic atmosphere even though they are with other people. Some tours, for an extra cost, may even accommodate a tour with the couple alone. One tour company that provides wonderful waterfall hikes is Maui Hiking Safaris in Pukalani.

Helicopter Tour

Some say that the best possible way to see all they possibly can of Maui is to do so by air. This is where the various helicopter tours come in handy. There is also something romantic about viewing the beautiful scenery of Maui in a helicopter with a loved one close by one’s side. Blue Hawaiian Helicopter Tours of Maui provide this attraction for visitors to the island. Located at the Kahului Airport in West Maui, Blue Hawaiian Helicopters provide a variety of tour options for individuals. One in particular that might be quite suitable for couples is the Maui Spectacular which is an 80-minute flight with a 20-minute ground stop for refreshments and enjoying the scenery. A helicopter tour is a great way to spend some time with a loved one.

Sunset Cruise

Maui is also known for its breathtaking sunsets and what better way to view one than on a sunset cruise. The Deluxe Ka’anapali Sunset Sail provides ambience, scenery and romance for couples who decide to partake in a tour of this type. A couple can bring a nice bottle of wine along and sail through the warm breeze as they watch the sun go down over the water. Taking a sunset cruise with a loved one is romance at its best.

Snorkeling Tours

For those couples who can’t wait to hop in the water, there are a number of snorkeling tours available for individuals to join in on while in Maui. Snorkeling with a loved one amongst the graceful sea creatures and fabulous scenery is another way to spend a romantic time with one’s companion. Some of these tours also provide lunch and other activities as well.

Attend a Luau

Luaus are wonderful events to attend while staying in Maui. One not only gets to indulge in a wide array of Hawaiian delicacies but gets to enjoy fabulous entertainment as well. Couples visiting Maui will especially enjoy this event as it gives them some time together to just sit back, relax, eat and enjoy the show all the while spending quality time with one another. One famous Maui luau that is attended by many individuals each year is the Royal Lahaina Luau.

Walks along the Beach

Perhaps one of the most popular, free attractions for couples to partake in while on the island of Maui is countless walks along the beautiful stretches of beach. This is a great way to get some alone time with one’s significant other while taking in all of the beauty that surrounds them in this Hawaiian paradise. Best of the Best in West Maui

The Acid War Zone to the Blowhole is the best hike. You start of at the parking lot close by 38 mile marker just past Kapalua on Hwy 30. The hike is about 30 minutes long taking you past the old jeep road and the light beacon that leads the way. You end the hike at Hakalele Blowhole, which is where the ocean shoots up through a man-size hole in the lava. This view alone is very spectacular as the size of the spout is determined by the tide and size of the surf.

The best of the best natural pools on Maui are the Olivine Pools. In order to find this treasure you will go to mile marker 16 and then over to the rock platform overlook. If you then look down the cliff and to the left you will see a pool in the shape of a heart on the lava bench. There is a small trail leading all the way to the bench.

Best of the best diving locations is Laha’i Cathedrals I and II; along with this you need the best boat dive company which is Extended Horizons. In addition, the best company for shore dives is Pacific Dive. Both of these will take you on night dives. The prices vary from $ 59 to $ 129. At the dive location off Laha’i there is an underwater grotto with coral formations that resemble a Gothic church with stained-glass windows. The 70-foot-high spires are home to sea turtles, squid, and moray eels.

There are several beaches on the list when it comes to the best of the best beaches in West Maui all according to what activities you wish to enjoy. On the list of best beaches are Napili, Kapalua, and Ka’anapali. Napili Beach has a recessed shoreline that provides you with protection from the afternoon winds so you can enjoy sunbathing or other activities without worrying about being blown away. This beach can become quite crowded as everyone knows just how great it is. Access to the middle or south end of the beach is from Hui Drive.

Kapalua Beach is the best swimming beach. The bay area is very protected so even children can enjoy playing here. The water is not as clear as in other beaches on Maui for snorkeling. In addition, offshore you will find that it is a bit rocky. Wearing reef shoes will protect your feet if you just wish to wade around and admire the beautiful scenery without the surf beating you up.

Ka’anapali Beach may be hard to find especially if you listen to the various names that are associated to this beach. The names you may hear include Keka’a and Hanake’o’o. The best area of this beach is from Black Rock south to Canoe Beach. Along this stretch you will find resorts and the Whaler’s Village. You will enjoy the concrete path where an evening walk watching the sunset is one of the most popular things to do. This is a great beach for practically every water sport. The north end is best for snorkeling at Black Rock and the middle is wonderful for body surfing. Swimming however, is not advised in middle as the waves break on steep beach. The northern area of the beach is best for swimming.

You may hear mixed emotions when it comes to the Sugar Cane Train. However, if you have children with you, this is a great way for them to enjoying riding on the train while you relax. To adults, this might be a bit boring as the train moves slowly across old sugar cane fields, past a golf course and through a residential area. The children of course will love the train ride and with a bit of imagination you can carry the kids off on an adventure and make it more enticing

7 Good Reasons For Travel Insurance

For thousands of years, risks have been shared during times of tragedy. The first formal insurance company, Lloyd's of London, was formed in 1769 and their principal concept remains today - to gather the premiums of clients as a pool of resources to return to clients who experience unexpected but covered events.

So, that is the secret really, plan for the unexpected and make sure you're covered, especially when you're travelling. Whether your trip is a quick one or a round the world cruise, there are many good reasons for travel insurance. Here are just 7:

Medical Emergencies: If you fall sick or are injured during your travel, your travel insurance will give you financial coverage.

Flight Cancellations: If your flight is cancelled or delayed then your travel insurance should help. Depending on the cover available, a room for the night and even alternative travel home can be included.

Pre-existing Medical Conditions: Even if you have a pre-existing medical condition and it flares up while you're on vacation, as long as you've advised your travel insurance company prior, you should be covered.

Damage or Loss Of Personal property - What are you going to do when your luggage gets stolen? Yes, it happens, all the time. There are organised gangs that work in airports doing just that. Guess what? You need travel insurance.

Loss of Cash or Traveller's Cheques - You're in a foreign country far from home. You either lose, or have stolen, your entire holiday fund. You're going to need help and quick. Again, travel insurance is a must.

Emergency Evacuations - What with global warming and economic pressure more and more holiday destinations are being built in potentially dangerous territory. Who would have wanted to be in Thailand on that Boxing Day? Travel insurance will help if you have to get out quick.

Car Crash - It can be very difficult driving on the wrong side of the road in a strange country. Accidents happen.

Okay, there you have it. 7 good and solid reasons why you need travel insurance the next trip you make. The other alternative of course is to not take out travel insurance, or to stay at home. Now, there's an idea. But seriously, as always when taking out insurance, especially travel insurance, read the fine print. Importantly, find out before you go what is excluded, not just included. So, always read the fine print. For example, accidental coverage is not provided in case of drunken driving, driving under the influence of narcotic substances etc. Exclusions are also provided for accidents during risky sports like bungee jumping, car racing, scuba diving, white water rafting, flying (except as passenger in regular airliners), gliding, skiing, bike racing, diving, mountaineering, windsurfing etc. The list goes on (insert for your favourite potentially dangerous sport here). That means in case of accidents in these situations the insurance company is not liable to pay any amount to the insured.

Travel Accident Insurance Plans

A travel accident insurance plan can cover many different aspects of travel, including medical expenses, trip protection, flight accident, or death. Coverage protection can bring real peace of mind to frequent or even one-time travelers and their families.

Knowing that one has insurance coverage in the event of an accident or disabling injury can be very comforting for a traveler. Protecting one's health while vacationing or living abroad, protecting a financial investment in case of trip cancellation, and ensuring the care of one's family in the event of a death, are all great reasons to obtain some type of coverage protection. Finding the best policy for individual needs is the first step in obtaining the security of coverage.

There are various policies available through many different agencies. The Internet is a great place to begin to locate the travel accident insurance plan program and an insurer that will benefit the policyholder the most. Doing research from the privacy of one's own home personal computer can bring an order to the process that will enable the buyer to make a good and right choice for themselves and their loved ones. If traveling often, an annual multi-trip insurance package can be purchased. This package will cover all trips taken throughout the year, and usually includes medical coverage which will repay the policyholder for any emergency medical expenses incurred while traveling. Round the clock emergency assistance, emergency medical evacuation, accidental death insurance, baggage protection, and trip delay protection are often included in this type of plan.

A vacationer's protection package can provide substantial coverage levels of up to five million dollars for covered accidents or emergencies. The best way to find the travel accident insurance plan best tailored to an individual is to identify the products that match a personal profile, generate and compare quotes from the companies preferred, and compare benefits levels between products. "And not that only, but who was also chosen of the churches to travel with us with this grace, which is administered by us to the glory of the same Lord, and declaration of your ready mind" (2 Corinthians 8:19). Use a travel accident insurance plan can create a level of comfort that will allow a believer to do just that. Knowing that one is covered financially in the event of different calamities befalling during travel can be just the assurance needed to make the vacation or trip the best they can be. The best way to begin is to locate the companies that will provide the kind of coverage protection that is needed and then start comparisons. It won't be long until a decision has been made and preparations are complete.

Accidents - Generally accident coverage provides for accidental death in vehicles, flight crashes, loss of organs like hands, legs or eyes etc. For these a principal sum benefit of about 25,000$ to 100,000$ is given by the travel insurance company.

Exclusion - Always read the fine print. Accidental coverage is not provided in case of drunken driving, driving under the influence of narcotic substances etc. Exclusions are also provided for accidents during risky sports like bungee jumping, car racing, scuba diving, white water rafting, flying (except as passenger in regular airliners), gliding, skiing, bike racing, diving, mountaineering, windsurfing etc. that means in case of accidents in these situations the insurance company is not liable to pay any amount to the insured.

Family Insurance - Buying insurance for a group usually a family, works out cheaper than for individuals.

Purchasing Online - Purchasing travel insurance online works out cheaper than through an agent because you do not have to pay to the agent. This usually reduces the cost of the policy between 5% to 20%.
